Kelly Reichardt’s films—which include

Certain Women (2016)—have been selected for the Whitney Biennial and the Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Sundance, Telluride, and BFI London film festivals. Her work has been the subject of retrospectives at the Museum of Modern Art, the Pacific Film Archive, and the Walker Art Center, among other institutions; the Centre Pompidou in Paris will stage another in early 2021. She is an artist-in-residence at Bard College. Her most recent film,
First Cow (2019), which the
New York Times hailed as “a masterpiece,” is streaming on various platforms.
