In 2022, we had the great fortune to collaborate with Jim Melchert—a legend in ceramic and conceptual art, and a Bay Area titan—on design of the Summer edition of All-Story. Jim passed in June 2023 at age 92, while still creating new artworks for an exhibition at Gallery 16 in San Francisco. That work is now on view as part of a memorial exhibition, Still, The Meandering Path: Jim Melchert’s Final Works, at the gallery, and if you’re proximate to San Francisco, we encourage you to see it. We’re already planning a return visit. On view through September 7.
