All-Story Wins 2025 Fiction Award

  • April 14, 2025
  • 11:28 am

Zoetrope: All-Story is the winner of the 2025 American Society of Magazine Editors Award for Fiction!

The stories honored are “Seven Stories About Tammy” by Elizabeth McCracken (vol. 28, no. 1), “Countdown,” by Anthony Marra (vol. 28, no. 1), and “Town,” by Alan Murrin (vol. 28, no. 2). Find an excerpt from Elizabeth’s story and the full text of Tony’s and Alan’s stories on our website, and for the best experience—plus original art and additional standout fiction—add the issues in which the stories appeared to your collection.

We’re forever grateful to Elizabeth, Tony, and Alan, and all of our contributors, subscribers, and readers—and of course, to our intrepid founder, Francis Coppola. We also extend our sincere thanks to ASME and all the judges, and our congratulations to the finalists.
