Youth Without Youth: the Commemorative Edition
Fall 2007 is an unprecedented 212-page double edition of Zoetrope: All-Story.
One half of the issue commemorates the release of Francis Coppola's first film in nearly a decade, Youth Without Youth, presenting:
- the complete Mircea Eliade novella on which the film is based.
- film stills and behind-the-scenes photographs.
- Eleanor Coppola's interviews with actors Tim Roth and Alexandra Maria Lara.
- essays by Coppola, renowned film editor Walter Murch, and Eliade-scholar Wendy Doniger.
The other half of the issue represents the proper Fall release of All-Story, with design by Academy Award—nominated actor and brilliant photographer Tim Roth and original stories from Ethan Coen, Kevin Brockmeier, and Jonathan Baumbach, among others, all investigating the central ideas of the film: time, love, and consciousness.
Print copies of this issue are still available.
