Elena Ferrante and Mario Martone

Elena Ferrante is the author of The Days of Abandonment (Europa, 2005), Troubling Love (Europa, 2006), The Lost Daughter (Europa, 2008), the Neapolitan Quartet (Europa, 2012–15), and Frantumaglia (Europa, 2017). She is also the author of a children’s book illustrated by Mara Cerri, The Beach at Night.

Mario Martone is an Italian screenwriter and director whose films include Morte di un matematico napoletano (1992), L’amore molesto (1995), Noi credevamo (2010), and Leopardi (2014), and whose accolades include multiple David di Donatello Awards and the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.
