Budd Schulberg

Budd Schulberg (1914–2009) was a screenwriter, producer, novelist, playwright, and sports journalist. He wrote the films On the Waterfront, for which he won the 1955 Academy Award for Best Story and Screenplay, and A Face in the Crowd and the novel What Makes Sammy Run? The first boxing editor of Sports Illustrated, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2002
