Robert Bloch

Robert Bloch (1917–1994) was a prolific writer of crime, horror, and science fiction. Among the honors for his novels and stories were the Hugo Award, the Bram Stoker Award, and the World Fantasy Award. As a screenwriter, he wrote the 1964 films Strait-Jacket, starring Joan Crawford, and The Night Walker, starring Barbara Stanwyck. In 2008 the Library of America included his work in True Crime: An American Anthology
