Julian Barnes

Julian Barnes is the author of two collections of stories, three collections of essays, and ten novels. His many commendations include the Prix Médicis, the Prix Femina, the Somerset Maugham Award, the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, and the E. M. Forster Award, and in 2004 he was named a Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. His new collection of stories, Pulse, will be published by Knopf in May. He lives in London.
