David Foster Wallace

David Foster Wallace (1962–2008) is the author of the novels Infinite Jest and The Broom of the System; the story collections Oblivion, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, and Girl with Curious Hair; and the essay collections Consider the Lobster, Everything and More: A Compact History of Infinity, Up, Simba!, and A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again. His writings have appeared in Harper’s Magazine, The New Yorker, Playboy, The Paris Review, Tennis, and The New York Times Magazine, among other publications. Time magazine included Infinite Jest among its list of the hundred best English-language novels published between 1923 and 2005.
