Rex Ray

Rex Ray is a San Francisco–based fine artist whose collages, paintings, and design work have graced the walls of boutique hotels, restaurants, and world-class museums—among them the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Berkeley Art Museum, the San Jose Museum of Art, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, and MCA Denver. In a foreword to the monograph Rex Ray: Art + Design (Chronicle Books, 2007), Douglas Coupland describes Ray’s images as “unslick, but superslick at the same time.”
