Lou Reed

Lou Reed is an American Master, a playwright, a poet, and a photographer whose third monograph, Romanticism, will be released in early 2009. His previous two books of photography, Emotion in Action and Lou Reedís New York, were published by Steidl/Edition 7L. He is a recipient of the Chevalier Commander of Arts and Letters from the French government and numerous other awards. A founding member of the legendary Velvet Underground, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. Reed is adapting his play The Raven as a graphic novel and recently completed a film with Luc Besson. He lives in the city of his heart, New York.
