David Bezmozgis is an author and filmmaker. He lives in Toronto, where he directs the Humber School for Writers. 

Craig Davidson’s books include the collection Rust and Bone and the novels The Fighter, Sarah Court, and Cataract City, the last of which was short-listed for the 2013 Giller Prize.

Onyinye Ihezukwu was born and raised in Nigeria, and her work explores changing sociopolitical themes in the urban Nigerian setting. She’s writing a novel.

Elizabeth McCracken is the author of five books. She teaches at the University of Texas at Austin.

Richard Misrach’s work has been exhibited and collected by museums worldwide, and has earned commendations that include four National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Koret Israel Prize. His most recent project, Border Cantos, an exploration of the US-Mexico border in collaboration with the composer Guillermo Galindo, resulted in a national museum tour and an award-winning monograph.

Alongside his own work, Richard's design incorporates photographs from the following artists:

Wesaam Al-Badry was born in 1984 in Nasiriyah, Iraq. During the Gulf War, he and his family spent four-and-a-half years in a Saudi refugee camp before winning relocation to Lincoln, Nebraska. He has worked as a photojournalist for CNN and Al Jazeera America.

Johnnie Chatman is a photographer and experimental filmmaker. He is the founder and editor of The Nine, an online magazine featuring emerging artists, and the curator of the In Time Film Festival, a showcase of avant-garde film and video work.
