Robert A. Heinlein (1907–1988) was the author of such novels as Red Planet, Starship Troopers, Stranger in a Strange Land, and The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress. His many accolades include seven Hugo Awards and the inaugural Grand Master Award from the Science Fiction Writers of America.
Thomas Pierce is the author of the story collection Hall of Small Mammals. His stories have appeared in the New Yorker, the Atlantic Monthly, Best American Nonrequired Reading, and other publications. A former Poe/Faulkner fellow at the University of Virginia, where he received his MFA, he lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with his wife and daughters.
