Sorry, Wrong Number
Written in 1948, "Sorry, Wrong Number" became one of the most popular radio plays of its time and featured Agnes Moorehead as Leona Stevenson. The play was adapted for the screen in 1948, and was directed by Anatole Litvak and starred Burt Lancaster and Barbara Stanwyck, who received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her performance. Sorry, Wrong Number was nominated for the 1949 Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best Motion Picture. The play was also adapted for television in 1989.
