Vol. 12, No. 2

Vacation '58
by John Hughes

In the story that inspired the iconic 1983 film Vacation, the Griswolds survive multiple car crashes, a dead dog and aunt, marauding Indians, and each other to claim their right as hardworking Americans: a few days in Disneyland. Unfortunately, the park is closed for repairs.

This story is available only in the print edition of the Summer 2008 issue. Click here to purchase it from our online store.
