David Blau is a writer on the downslope of virility. Leena is a graduate student ready to challenge his easy definitions. This play was inspired by Josef von Sternberg’s film The Blue Angel. Although it departs radically from the original story, what Eric Bogosian preserves is the sexual tempest caused by the collision of an independent woman and a man who’s very secure in a man’s world.
