She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and two sons where she is president of the neighborhood school PTA. (It's amazing who you turn into once you have children). She has a degree in Comparative Literature from Brown University, a Master in Music performance from Cleveland Institute of Music, and Cantorial Investiture from Hebrew Union College. She sings professionally, substitutes and concertizes as a Cantor, writes children's books for Scholastic Publishers, Inc., science fiction stories for herself and anyone who will read them, raises her children full time, cooks up a storm and looks despairingly at overpriced New York city real estate. She can be reached at: CantoRebek@aol.com Girija Tropp nearly became a doctor, a linguist, a social scientist, an equestrian, a truck driver, a basket case. Fortunately for these professions, she became a dancer and writer instead. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her husband, a painter and food manufacturer.
