Heather Fowler is a Southern California native, recently relocated to Modesto. She received her M.A. in English and Creative Writing from Hollins University in 1997, and has just begun to submit for publication. She is excited to note that "The Talk Adults Talk" will be her second story published by All-Story Extra, following "Dead Mothers" selected for October 1999, and would like to thank all the wonderful writers who participate on the online site. She is currently 25.

Also, this month, a story entitled: "Not A Creature Was Stirring" will be published by Mindkites, an up and coming alternative web-site. Her recent poetry publications include: "This Old Beach Town" and "The California Poem" in Driftwood Highway 1999 Anthology (forthcoming, December 1999); "The Birthday Poem" in Joe's Journal, Best of the Beach 1998; "Glass" and "Imaginary Mother" in the 1999 March and July editions of San Diego's Art Mag entitled The Publication; and two sestinas entitled: "The Empress" and "The Deluge" from Volume 6 (1999) of the annual Cityworks Literary Anthology. She is currently compiling a book of poems entitled: "They Were Cautionary Tales" based on societal interpretations of fairytales from the 15th and 17th centuries.
